Liam Nelson is known for his work on Hell on Wheels (2011), Merry In-Laws (2012) and Fir Crazy (2013).
Grew up in Calgary, Alberta where he currently resides. He is partially of Maltese descent and is a citizen of both Canada and Malta (Europe).
Graduated from the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary in Mechanical Engineering in April 2012 at the age of 21. This was a fall-back degree for film.
Taught himself the last three semesters of his University career (15 courses) in order to make time to work in film as often as possible.
Is also a recreational pilot and advanced open water scuba diver amongst other activities. He speaks English and French and is now learning sign language.
From July-September 2009, he was a lead organizer/director for a highly publicized event to send a message to an alumnus astronaut (Bob Thirsk) on the international space station. NASA, FAA, CAA and Discovery Channel all got involved. It is viewable on youtube by searching 'Lift Up Your Eyes'. He still has a voicemail Bob Thirsk left him during the event. Relocated to Toronto only four days after writing his last final, before even officially graduating, to pursue a career as an actor as well as a crew member.
Began acting in school theater productions in elementary school, and was introduced to his first agent by his high school drama teacher. He began acting in film/TV thereafter and continues to do so. He was invited to join the actor's union four times before finally accepting so that he could continue gaining experience on independent productions.
